Financial Results Year Ended 31/12/2010
For the year they made a profit after tax of £151,000
(£16,000).
Mortgage Lending – Mortgage lending in the year
totalled £17m. At the year end there were 4 mortgage accounts (2009: 3
accounts) in the Society’s mortgage book with balances outstanding of £0.10m
(2009: £0.14m) and arrears of £0.01m (2009: £0.01m) which were 12 months or
more in arrears.
Savings – Retail share and deposit balances reduced by
6.4% in 2010 to £330m, reflecting the reduction in loans and advances. However,
the Group continues to be largely funded by retail shares and deposits, with
only 7.1% of total shares and borrowings obtained from the wholesale markets
(2009: 6.9%) at the year end.
